Web Application Developer (Java and/or .NET)
The Archer Group is an Interactive Marketing Agency focused on creating measurable impact for our clients. The Archer Group is looking for Application Developers to develop Enterprise Solutions for our Medium to Large Cap clients across many different industries. Responsibilities: Design, code, and unit test applications as part of a team May be called upon to explain major application design decisions and their rationales to technical and non-technical audiences. Maintain basic competency in object-oriented, component, and middleware technology. Qualifications: 2-4 years of project experience performing software development. Must be expert in Java or C# .Net Good communication skills: Ability to gather requirements from business and communicate to team. Requirements Engineering: Reading knowledge of requirements (e.g., use case) models. Application Architecture: Possess a good understanding of basic software architecture principles. Possess a good understanding of distributed object development. Must be familiar with Design Patterns and their applications. Application Design: Knowledge of object-oriented concepts (e.g., abstraction, encapsulation, inheritance, polymorphism). Practical and successful experience using at least one major object-oriented development method (e.g., RUP, Agile). Able to read UML object models. Good design skill at the component/package/module level. Programming: Expert in Java or C# .NET. Expert on at least one platform (.NET, J2EE). Testing: Working knowledge of class-level testing techniques. Basic knowledge of package-level testing techniques. Database Technology: Basic ability to use existing relational and object databases. Education/Training Requirements: Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering or comparable degree or experience.
