Aprimo is seeking a Network Engineer to maintain and leverage inter-organizational relationships which include Product Management, Product Development, Hosting Services, Customer Support, and Consulting organizations as relates to Networking and Web Application Delivery. The Network Engineer will provide all levels of technical support in the area of Web Application Delivery as it relates to Network Engineering, more specifically Load Balancing Technologies. The Network Engineer will be working both directly with customers, partners and with internal Aprimo Team Members.
Specific duties include:
1. • Perform technical presentations and consulting
• Provide Strategic direction to customers IT as to how to setup and manage their LB technology for their Aprimo application environment(s)
• Work with Aprimo Technical Support to assist and troubleshoot network and LB related issues affecting the success and performance of the customer implementations.
• Provide leadership and direction to the Product Development and Management teams, as it relates to application Load Balancing and delivery.
• Provide assistance to QA, in architecting and setup of Lab Environments as it relates to Application Load Balancing and delivery.
• Assist in day to day operations of Aprimo Managed Hosting Services as it relates to Load Balancing technologies and strategies.
Requirements:
• Good understanding of TCP/IP- 5 years experience minimum 10 years preferred
• Good understanding of IIS and Apache
• Good understanding of the SMTP and FTP protocol
• Strong understanding of routing, switching, NAT, advanced TCP optimization techniques, understanding of network latency, RTT, etc.
• Strong understanding of HTTPS/SSL/TLS, digital certificates, SSL Certificates, PKI
• Expert knowledge on how DNS, web application and n-tier application work
• Expertise on HTTP protocol
• Experienced administrator of F5 networks BIGIP LTM (or Cisco CSS/ACE or Citrix NetScaler)
• Experience with F5 Networks BIGIP GTM is a bonus
• Experience and expertise with network sniffing (network capture) and interpreting the results for both troubleshooting as well as capacity planning
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
