Location: Frisco, TX 75034 Employment Type: Full Time, Temporary/Contract/Project Expected Duration: 5+ to 7 Years Pay Rate: Depending on experience Reference Code: 100994209 REQUIRED SKILLS: Experience: 5-7 years of progressive experience in related disciplines *2 years of application server administration *experience working in a highly available, enterprise-class operations environment *Weblogic Server 9.X administration experience in a clustered environment *experience working in Linux or Unix environment; experience supporting a production website or other computing environment and an appreciation of the importance of getting platforms right before they are put into production *experience in at least several of the following technologies: Weblogic, Apache, RedHat/Solaris/WindowsKNOWLEDGE *In-depth knowledge concerning systems design *dynamic web application development *Web application administration *Strong understanding of Java (understand exceptions, stack traces, classes) *Strong knowledge of J2EE technologies (Servlets EJBs, JMS, JDBC, etc.) *Strong understanding of foundation technologies including networking, http, databases, and markup languages (xml, html) including installation, performance tuning, and operation *Strong user level Linux/Unix *Understanding of the n-tier web application systems *Knowledge concerning relational databases and basic SQL scriptingPREFERRED SKILLS: MS in Computer Science or related field Admin level experience with Linux or Unix Solaris Administration; RedHat Linux Administration; Apache Administration; demonstrated ability to build a dynamic website (i.e. used asp/.net, php, cgi, jsp, etc.) for personal or professional use other Java application servers (Tomcat, JBOSS, etc); Weblogic Clustered environments; strong understanding of networking principlesRESPONSIBILITIES: A) ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Architects, implements, and maintains BEA Weblogic environments in fault resilient production environments 2. Monitors performance of production servers and responds to issues that arise related to application servers. 3. Troubleshoots complicated application environment issues. 4. Supports developers and QA by maintaining test environments and configuring application servers to development specifications. 5. Aids in the design and development of new systems and redesign of existing systems to fulfill the needs of customers. 6. Writes simple shell scripts and interprets existing ones. 7. Owns primary support for multiple production platforms, including after hours support and off-hours maintenance. 8. Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Weblogic and web applications. 9. Provides technical guidance to other team members.   B) OTHER DUTIES: 1. Researches, collects, and reports information concerning new technologies and best practices. 2. Assists development with design of new features that impact the applications environment. 3.
