Visual Basic (VB) Developer (5 years' plus experience)

EPM is a leading provider of innovative engineering software solutions that optimize the processes used for the nuclear power industry.

 

EPM’s Strategic Technology Group -- www.stgroup.net -- is seeking a full-time Developer with 5 plus years of experience to support our client/server Visual Basic/Oracle software application. Responsibilities involve the analysis and modification of VB code.

 

Qualified candidates must possess the following requirements:

 

· Three years of practical experience in a project-oriented environment.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Computer Science Certification as a minimum.

· Visual Basic 6/.net, SQL statements

· Oracle, MS/SQL Server databases. 

· Knowledgeable with relational database and client/server concepts.

· Knowledge of structured database modeling (i.e., ERD).

· Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle.

 

Candidates with the following knowledge are preferred:

 

· An engineering aptitude.

· Data loading.

· Software Quality Assurance.

· Enterprise Graphical system (i.e., Intergraph).

 

Position requires using experience and judgment to plan and execute goals.  Candidates must be self-sufficient and able to work independently as well as contribute to team efforts. Short-term travel may be required.
