Position:  Vice President of Global Sales Company: A pioneer in International    Solutions Growth Potential: Exponential  The VP of Global Sales will be responsible for global customer acquisition and revenue generation. Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving capabilities, creative thinking, and proven solution selling capabilities will be the primary characteristics of the VP. Strong relationship-building and solution selling capabilities; experience selling at the executive or decision making levels of an organization; a proven ability to close big ticket solutions; a proven ability to consistently manage to and exceed goals; and the ability to develop a world class sales and alliance organization will be key attributes to the candidate hired for this role.  The successful executive will have fluency in business application software sales (i.e. manufacturing, logistics, supply chain) and proven leadership abilities within a team selling environment, previous success in developing large accounts over lengthy sales campaigns, and an inclination to sustain customer relationships for the long-haul.    Primary Responsibilities: Oversee business development and sales activities to maximize revenue and achieve corporate objectives: Accurately forecasts annual, quarterly and monthly revenue streams Develops specific plans to drive growth in all product and service lines Measures team performance against established targets for sales activity, productivity, and performance Determines key performance metrics, collection and reporting methods Performs business development and sales activities on strategic accounts and negotiates agreements Leads global teams responsible for strategic accounts, global accounts, direct field sales, inside tele sales, software alliance channel sales Create business plans to develop new and enhance existing relationships with channel partners to drive revenue growth Develops and maintains positive relationships with key decision makers in partner organizations to create opportunities and increase demand for products Develops strategies for meeting key revenue and sales objectives Designs, creates and implements sales and go-to-market programs working with marketing and product management Defines market potential and opportunities by segment.  Create, manage, and monitor budgets and forecasts, performance metrics, and meet or exceed profit and revenue expectations Ability to communicate effectively at executive level in person including distilling elements of business strategy and plans in clear and compelling presentations Responsibilities:§  Skilled at delivering a compelling value proposition to the prospect and evangelizing the business solution based on complex technology§  Proven capability to effectively mentor and coach sales personnel in delivering the value proposition§ Has good questioning skills, and understands questioning techniques such as SPIN Selling§  Excellent time management, decision making, interpersonal, follow-through, and organization skills§  Technical savvy plus solution and consultative selling – comfortable selling online solutions and intangibles into a complex value chain§  Strong relationship building skills, the ability to work in a team environment.§  The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales leadership, sales improvement, building and driving global teams to set and attain or exceed ambitious targets§  Travel globally up to 30%§  Online E-com platform, Enterprise or On-demand Software, high-tech     Built on more than 30 years of expertise, The Mergis Group is a specialty recruiting firm committed to helping professionals make the best career choices.
