Vice President, Finance - Strategist and Leader

Follett Software is positioned for our next big move.but not without you along to drive!Accountabilities: Manage all budgeting and financials for a $100 million piece of Follett business Direct company financial functions including finance, accounting, contract management, and internal purchasing Develop complete financial strategic plan for entire business unit Create financial business cases Act as key player in business growth strategy, including financial and business impact of all acquisitions Execute duties as a Sr. Member of Follett Software's Executive Management team Drive high level initiatives to improve revenue and grow the business What you bring to our winning team:CPA is a strict requirement. Certification must be current. Experience in a Software Environment and a heavy background in Software Revenue Recognition is critical for this role Experience in a 'growth' environment with particular involvement in business acquisitions Leadership quality ' not only as a Finance professional but across all areas of a large business 10 or more years of background in a similar strategic Sr. Financial Mgt role within a business with revenues of $100 MIL or greater Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance and CPA are required. MBA in Finance is preferred Complete expertise in the fields Finance and Accounting with a strong knowledge of trends in the industry Exceptional analytical skills Strong personal contributor to the continuation of company growthWhat you will accomplish:Execute on (and author) several critical corporate initiatives Achieve improvements in controlling expenses throughout the business unit Gain complete understanding of any Strategic or Growth plans Evaluate the profitability of company's product line, benchmarking against other similar market players from a financial / metrics point of viewYou are our ideal candidate because you are proactive, able to predict and act upon requests from President and other business leaders ahead of need. You have Project Management expertise, exceeding expectations on deliverables and you provide helpful information up and beyond what is requested that forms strategy and helps to execute plans. You come from a Software Product environment (preferably within the education technology niche) and have knowledge of specific software revenue recognition standards.
