Vice President - Engineering
We are a VC-funded start-up company which is developing software products catering to the legal and financial services industries. We are looking to hire a Director of Engineering to oversee our development efforts. Below are some of the qualifications that we’re looking for: Experience being a hands-on technical leader of small software development/operations teams Experience presenting technology to customers and working with customers on feature/timing trade-offs Experience leading development of an online, 24x7 software as a service application model Experience recruiting, interviewing and hiring both on-shore and off-shore development and QA teams Hands on experience day-to-day managing off-shore development teams Ability to write technical specifications, architecture diagrams Experience with full responsibly for product releases, release schedule, juggling customer schedules Oversee operations and administration of online 24x7 software as a service model Ability and experience to handle both roles: Chief Technologist (technology, vision, architecture) and VP Engineering (specs, schedule, release dates, day-to-day management) in an early stage start up Strong experience with Microsoft Technology stack in an online application (.NET, ASP .NET, Microsoft Word, etc.) Experience with financial documents or SEC processes is a big plus Experience building Word, Excel add-ins is a plus
