Insuresoft delivers policy administration solutions for property and casualty insurance carriers throughout North America. Insuresoft’s flagship product, Diamond, is a recognized industry leader and part of Microsoft’s elite Insurance Value Chain. Insuresoft is a privately held, profitable company with offices in AL, IL, and MN.
We are seeking candidates with all levels of experience, expertise, and knowledge. The position offered will be based on each candidate’s specific qualifications. There are several new Developer positions being added to the company due to significant growth.
Position Responsibilities Include:
Ø Develop modules according to specifications or business requirements.
Ø Ability to analyze business requirements and translate these into design documents and technical specifications.
Ø The ability to work with a diverse project team, including Database Developers, QA Staff, Business Analysts, and Project Managers.
Ø Maintain and debug existing modules.
Ø Perform unit testing of modifications and enhancements to ensure system integrity.
The Requirements of a Successful Candidate:
Ø Documented experience or education in a Windows programming environment is required.
Ø Have experience in the following programming language(s)/operating platforms ~ Visual Basic/VB.Net, Windows 2000/XP, SQL Server 2000/2005, XML, ASP/ASP.Net, and HTML, or C++
Ø Knowledge of various software development life cycle models.
Ø Possess a strong work ethic and be able to deliver solutions under deadlines.
Ø Work well in team or as individuals.
Ø Have the ability to reason logically and provide solutions.
Ø Have excellent organizational, written, and communication skills.
Ø Be willing to travel up to 25% (national travel only).
Ø Possess a BA/BS in Computer Science or related field preferred.
Ø MCSD Certification preferred.
Ø Previous insurance experience preferred.
