User Interface Designer II- Consumer- Marsh-Hoboken, NJ (PK)
An analytic problem solver that can synthesize many forms of research and business requirements into informational, navigational and web page designs and specifications.
Skills/Experienced Desired -3+ years designing and developing the user interface component of software and web applications through the full product life-cycle including gathering requirements, writing functional specifications, designing, testing, and prototyping
·Creating prototype and final screen layouts, navigational and information architecture, and written UI design specifications based on task and user flows through the application; Gatering user requirements, field studies, heuristic evaluation, usability testing, questionnaire/survey design, and user interface design; Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication; Employing a variety of usability methods (contextual inquiry, design for usability, usability review, user testing) to ensure optimal usability through interface solution; Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with UI designers, product marketing, and software developers to define design requirements, problem-solve and create design solutions; Degree in Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology or related area (or equivalent experience); Expert HTML Skills and Solid knowledge of JavaScript for rapid prototyping; Relational Database Experience a plus
Interaction design, Industrial design or Human Computer Interaction degree (or equivalent experience)
BS in Design/Arts or related degree is preferred.
User Interface Designer - Conceptualizes and implements designs as a team member for e-business solutions. Experienced in conducting workshops/meetings with clients and users to help extract creative messages and themes to be translated into concepts and designs. Has a strong understanding of contextual design techniques and methods and significant experience in conducting visual design and brand assessment and usability tests on sites/portals/applications.
