Apex Systems, a Top 10 Information Technology & Engineering Recruiting organization, has an opportunity available for a Unix Systems Programmer in Woodlawn Maryland supporting a large Government integrator. This is a six month to permanent opportunity.

The aspirant is able to work in a large team environment. The right candidate will support the distributive tool suite on a UNIX/WINDOWS platform as well as develop and implement scripts, utilities and automated reports to support component monitoring and reporting activities.

The candidate must have experience with SHELL or PERL scripting in a UNIX environment as well as batch processing, batch scheduling or batch control. The candidate should have moderate experience with IBM AIX, SQL language, C or VB scripting. Some travel may be required for this opportunity, not to exceed more than one week at a time.
