Senior Software Developer Experian’s vision is for people, data and technology to become a necessary part of every major consumer economy around the world.  We are currently looking for outstanding people to help us realize our vision. Marketswitch OptimizationSM solves complex decisioning problems in marketing and credit risk management and helps you determine the most profitable customer strategies at the individual level.  Achieve your financial goals while simultaneously considering your management policies, operational constraints and regulatory requirements.  You can also easily experiment with “what if” scenarios to evaluate the financial impact of different customer strategies and select the most effective scenario for your business.  As a Software Developer at Marketswitch in our Herndon, VA office you will Responsibilities:  Position requires travel as necessary (up to 10%) Ability to directly interface and support various types of clients and efforts (both internal and external) Manipulate & reformat data and define new data elements Generate system documentation & other technical writing Understanding of appropriate software testing & quality control best practices and methodologies Generate and format reports Experience in the design, development, and implementation of software and systems on a Windows 2000 or Windows NT platform Ability to develop programming specifications from high level business or functional requirements Ability to develop programs from detailed specifications Good communication skills (verbal and written)  Experience with ASP, .Net, Java and/or C/C++ a plus Experience with Windows Server 2003, or Unix OS a plus Required knowledge: C++ and UNIX/Posix (last 3 years), STL, SQL Desired (+) knowledge: Java, Perl, Tom, Ant, OCI, ODBC, SOAP Strong demonstrated experience in statistics and numerical methods Experian offers flexible benefits and compensation packages that allow our employees to make choices that fit their individual lifestyles.
