Underwriting Analyst
Job Title: Underwriting Analyst Department: Customer OperationsThe Underwriting Analyst is responsible for maintaining and ensuring the accuracy of Novell's customer purchase base and customer renewal information.RESPONSIBILITIES: - Create customer renewals in Novell's financial database. Validate that the renewals include everything they should based upon what the customer owns and the terms of the customer's contract with Novell. - Apply license retirements, transfers, and other adjustments to customer ownership to the customer's purchase base numbers. - Underwrite customer renewals in preparation for the customer renewal. Modify renewal records as necessary taking in to consideration additional purchases of renewable items, license retirements, license transfers, customer audits, etc. Publish underwritten renewals to the groups responsible for quote and collection. - Analyze customer data in order to identify behavioral trends.EDUCATION: College degree or equivalent experience.REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: The position requires the ability to apply creative thinking and sound reasoning, and to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. General computer literacy and a working knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing software programs are required. Detail oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.
