User Experience (UX) Architect - Senior User Experience (UX) Consultant
We are seeking accomplished and innovative UX architects/designers and user experience consultants with outstanding skills in experience/information architecture, interaction design, and information design. We need people who can think well beyond traditional static approaches to information architecture -- envisioning and creating dynamic design solutions - leveraging Endeca's groundbreaking paradigm and platform -- that adapt to people's diverse goals, choices, and discovery paths.

Responsibilities:
- Consult with customers and internal teams to define user experience requirements and strategically connect the dots between business goals, user goals, technology, and data/information
- Help analyze and create explicit models (e.g., personas, scenario flow models, mental models, task models) that characterize people's info access and discovery scenarios, mental models, decision support needs and work practices
- Conceive, design and prototype useful, usable, and compelling user experiences and user interfaces based on an understanding of business goals, people's discovery goals and needs, the available information assets, and the capabilities of Endeca's platform
- Collaborate on iterative UX/UI design evaluations (e.g, scenario based testing)
- Lead and participate in user experience focused workshops
- Contribute to the articulation and evolution of UX methods and service offerings, best practices, and thought leadership
- Work with Endeca's sales teams to plan the UX component of projects and help sell Endeca's Information Access Platform and professional services
- Educate and evangelize with customers and internal teams regarding user experience best practices and service offerings
- Apply domain knowledge (e.g., cognitive psychology, information design, HCI, human factors, technology adoption, etc.) and knowledge of emerging UX related technologies to support product/service/solution innovation and evolution
Experience & Skill Requirements:
- 5+ years in business/user experience consulting, solution architecture, and user experience/UI design in business environments and interactive product/service development (must be experienced in working with cross-functional teams)
- Advanced degree or equivalent in information architecture, information design, interaction design, HCI, Cognitive Science, Human Factors, or related field
- High level of expertise in user interface design - spanning information architecture, interaction design, and information design
- Practical knowledge of emerging user interface/web technologies
- Understanding and basic competence in user research and modeling and user assessment methods
- Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills
- Experience with business analytics, dashboards, and complex database and content management systems a plus
