USA IT jobs: Software Engineer

As a Software Engineer, you will be part of the engineering team designing and developing web applications, web services, etc. for a program management and data reporting tool utilizing Microsoft ASP.NET.



* Assists in all phases of the software development lifecycle.
* Prioritizes and completes tasks in order to meet scheduling deadlines.
* Defines user interfaces and functional specifications.
* Assures that programming standards are in compliance with industry best practices. Also assures that new end-user requirements, problem reporting and resolution are effectively, controlled and disseminated.
* Provide engineering level documentation for code modules, database schemas, etc.
* Performs engineering level unit tests to find defects earlier in the process.
* Work closely with the SQA team in finding and resolving coding defects.
* Uses a wide degree of creativity and latitude in the day-to-day job
* Possesses a desire to work in a fast-paced environment



Minimum Qualifications



* Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or engineering equivalent
* 5 - 8 years of overall software development experience
* 4+ years experience with developing and implementing web-based programming.
* 4+ years experience developing with C# and ASP.NET.
* Object Oriented Design (OOD) experience.
* User interface design using HTML, XHTML and JavaScript.
* Experience using MS SQL Server 2005/2008 (T-SQL, tables, indexes, stored procedures, etc.)
* Experience with MS ADO.NET
* Development experience with the Microsoft suite of development applications (Visual Studio, Team System, etc.).
* Solid debugging skills



Preferred Qualifications



* Experience developing web applications using WCF.
* Experience with SQL CLR Integration
* Experience with AJAX.NET
* Experience writing engineering level documentation
