DESCRIPTION:
As SolidWorks’ Internet Innovation Leader, you will be charged with defining and maximizing the effectiveness of our corporate internet strategic initiatives. You will evaluate new and innovative Internet technologies as it relates to our overall business plans defined by the combined organizations within SolidWorks.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Actively review and make recommendations on how to leverage new ideas, concepts or technologies to increase awareness, improve customer experience and further develop community.
· Represent the company brand and image on the web, leveraging new technologies and uses of internet leading sites to propel the Solidworks presence on the web.
· Review all web-sites throughout the world and conduct external 3rd party benchmark to determine the required investment to achieve the appropriate appeal to prospects, customers, and resellers and partners
· Work directly with Marketing to ensure the sites comply too their color scheme and other palette and style requirements.
· Ensure leading edge and intuitive interface that complies to Marketing protocol but creates a simple/easy to use and pleasant user experience.
· Maximize and lead efforts to create a common community that embraces Solidworks in every area; education, customers, prospects, CSWP/A, bloggers.
· Ensure that all SolidWorks’ sites are effectively designed and support the company's strategy and programs.
· Ensure globalization of information by leveraging technology from around the world.
· Develop project plans for content delivery.
Demonstrate an ability to understand business objectives and develop a long range web strategy to fill those needs.
· Analyze website effectiveness using web analytics tools, increase site conversion rates, and increase overall web activities and results
Manage vendor relationships when applicable
EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree in Information Systems, MBA is a strong plus.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Proven ability to understand business objectives and develop long range web strategy to fill these needs.
· Proven experience with Saas or leveraged the Internet applications for thousands of users.
· Intimate understanding and experience with implementing innovative web technologies.
· Specific leadership and hands on examples of leading and creating solutions on the web.
· International experience with multi-language sites.
· 7+ years of internet development, design and architecture experience.
· Project management experience and knowledge of related tools and/or methodology
· Excellent communication skills – verbal, written and presentation.
· Strong leadership skills.
· Proven experience with social networking and creating communities.
· Work and operate effectively in fast-paced environment with high degree of complexity and change across numerous organizations.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: SolidWorks offers an excellent salary with potential for bonus, commensurate with experience that is above average in the local community.
