TEST ENGINEER

JOB DESCRIPTION
This position will perform functional testing on a system and subsystem level.  The system consists of embedded devices, handheld computers, and servers to process and report data.


The Test Engineer is responsible for all QA activities including defining, implementing, and executing plans that verify the product meets functional, performance, and usability requirements. In addition, this position is responsible for developing innovative ways to test applications which may involve simulators, automated testing, or similar solutions.

This position is required to work extremely closely with all levels of product development – engineering, product management, and manufacturing.  Exact duties and level are flexible based on the skills and experience of the candidate.

REQUIREMENTS
2-7 years product development experience with a mixed discipline background in software and systems in a highly technical environment.  Experience with handheld computers and embedded systems is desired.


Experience with formal verification methodologies required, including test documentation, defect tracking, and test execution documentation.

Preference will be given to candidates with a strong development skill set.


Proven work history of completing projects on time and exceeding quality goals.

EDUCATION
+ BS Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field.
