This QA Testing role encompasses analyst skills (reviewing of requirements and testing scope), engineering skills (execution and recording of test results), leadership skills (communication and coordination with Stakeholders) and configuration skills (maintenance of test environments).  In this role, you will assume responsibility for:Definition of the test targets as per recommended strategyDevelopment of the test cases per project/product based on the strategy and defined requirementsMonitoring of the requirements/product changes, updating test cases and test scripts according to the approved changesVerification of the requirements/tests traceability and coverage, updating test cases and test scripts based on results of their executionContinuous improvement in the development, efficiency and structure of test cases, test scripts and their executionPeriodic assessment/evaluation of Change Requests/defects and their impactDeveloping, gathering and managing test dataEvaluation of the outcome for each test cycleWorking with Automation Designers to implement automation coverage of test scripts where applicableSetting up and execution of the test scriptsTroubleshooting product issues relating to environmental and/or configuration changes, assisting Support in resolving customer issues relating to environmental issues (i.e. Operating System, network)Managing various test environments test images and testing labsAdministration and support of Windows serversRecovery, analysis, recording and reporting of the test execution results, ensuring that critical priority bugs are properly escalatedCommunicating status of the test activities for the project to project team and your Resource Manager. Maintenance of audit compliance throughout the product cycleMaintenance of team documentation (i.e. processes and procedures)Continually seeking to improve internal team efficiencies through tools and process enhancements

Experience3+ years experience with software testing in multiple environments is requiredExperience developing and executing test cases and test scripts for non-functional tests (performance, stress, failures/recovery, etc) from use cases, requirements specifications and/or architectural models is required Hands-on test execution and troubleshooting experienceExperience with defect management (reporting, root-cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions)Experience and success with the use of test automation toolsExperience working with requirements tools is desiredExperience with complex products is desired Experience administering Windows workstation and server operating systemsExperience with administering and maintaining SQL Server 2000 and preferably SQL Server 2005Microsoft Terminal Server and Citrix Presentation Server experience is desirableTest environment creation and maintenance 

Specialized Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesKnowledge of common software failures and faults In-depth knowledge of the system or application-under-test is desiredDemonstrated understanding of Quality Control and Quality Assurance; Experience in a variety of testing techniquesDemonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills.  Good troubleshooting skills.
