Technical Writer - Documentation
REQUIREMENTS
Education/Experience (min):Bachelor of Science degree (technical or engineering background preferred)4+ years of applicable writing experience (procedures, technical manuals and proposals)
Computer Skills (min): Windows XP Professional w/Outlook Proficiency in MS Office 2003 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) with ability to create/manipulate/embed Photos, Images, Tables, Charts, etc.Familiarity with Visio and Adobe Acrobat desired.
Personal Skills:Develop/compose/format/publish written and graphical documentation (technical in nature) relating to instructions, plans, technical manuals, reports, procedures, presentations, sales brochures and/or proposal responses to RFPs/RFQs from raw unstructured data. Ability to organize work efforts, establish work schedules, and competency in time management Review/edit documents for accuracy and completeness Communicate written information and ideas clearly and concisely. Read/understand/interpret technical and solicitation information Speak clearly, concisely and effectively Understand information and ideas as presented verbally from others Ability to work multi task in a fast paced team environment and independently
Carter Control Systems (CCS) began engineering and building electrical control panels in 1981 and has continued to grow designing, manufacturing and integrating material handling and mail processing equipment to our customers nationwide. CCS is located in beautiful Frederick, MD, which is located near the Baltimore and Washington metropolitan areas. CCS is currently a preferred supplier to the US Postal Service and several of its vendors supplying specialized, patented products for material handling and mail processing systems across the country. We have installed equipment and systems in every state in over 340 US Postal facilities. Virtually every letter mailed in the United States passes through a CCS conveyor at some point in its delivery process. CCS designs and provides individual products and custom features, as well as turn-key systems complete with software and operating controls, typically based on powered roller conveyor technology. We’ve designed systems and profitable solutions for corporate clients and the US Postal Service for applications such as publishing, media, insurance, telecommunications, health care industries, credit cards, financial institutions, mail industries, retail/distribution and recycling.
