Technical Support Analyst

SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for the Tier 2 support of SalesVision installations for customers in support of the Implementation Team, the Relationship Management Team and the Insight Services Team.  The successful candidate will work in support of all operational aspects of the SalesVision application with a specific focus on the underlying Oracle databases.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

·  Provide technical support services for SalesVision teams to provide special requests by clients, repair data structures damaged by code defects, and modify data to support enhancements and next generation products.

·  Evaluate tools and make recommendations to support the operational loading and maintenance of data for SalesVision clients.

·  Develop prototypes and specifications for new functionality to guide the development of operational enhancements to the SalesVision application.

·  Perform file mapping to support loading of special data requests for SalesVision clients and write specifications for new supported data feeds.

·  Assist in the production of user documentation for the SalesVision application based on the prototype or specification developed.

·  Participate in team design sessions, requirements gathering sessions with clients, and specification development to drive the creation of new product features and modules.

·  Attain expert knowledge of the business functionality of the SalesVision application.

·  Attain expert knowledge of the data dictionary of the SalesVision application.

·  Maintain current knowledge of Access Data’s business and becomes familiar with Financial Services concepts relevant to the SalesVision product line, the business rules and processes associated with SalesVision

·  Assist with the business development efforts of Access Data.

·  Work with Access Data clients as necessary to promote product excellence and customer satisfaction.

·  Other duties as assigned

SPECIFICATIONS:

·  Experience managing multiple priorities.

·  Experience gathering customer requirements and posses excellent communication skills.

·  Must be detail oriented and have excellent problem solving abilities.

·  Must be highly effective in a fast paced environment.

·  Knowledge of the following technologies at a high level:  SQL.

·  Knowledge of at least two of the following technologies at a moderate level: Java, JavaScript, XHTML, XML, Oracle, PL/SQL, JBoss, WebSphere, WebLogic, SDLC Methodologies and tools.

·  Basic knowledge of the financial services and asset management industry.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

·  Bachelors degree in a technical or financial field or equivalent

·  2+ years of experience in a technical or support position.
