Technical Recruiter and Branch Manager
There are 3 different job descriptions in this posting. Qualified people can potentially work from a home office.
Our client is an IT staffing company in the $100 million revenue range ( 1400 contractors ) that is seeking to hire 3 people for the following jobs.
Director of Recruiting: They have offices in NY, NJ, DC and Atlanta. Although their clients are spread out across the USA. I believe there is a total of 28 recruiters spread among all their offices. Revenues are at 100 million. They are poised to grow to the next level, but must hire an experienced manager over the recruiters as currently there is no metrics program in place, or training. They have hired IT recruiters from other IT staffing companies, but lack the structure necessary to grow a larger and more successful recruiting department. This job would come with a 6 figure salary + bonuses. The overall income is expected to be over $200,000. To qualify this person must have several years in IT staffing + been a good IT recruiter + been promoted to where they have hired, trained, managed other IT recruiters, and must be able to bring a method or process from which to implement activity metrics. The Director of Recruiting could work from the Tucker, GA office – or the offices in NY or NJ, DC. And, if the commute is too long for the normal daily travel, the Director of Recruiting can work some of the time from home to side step the commute problem.
Engineering Recruiter: Some of the clientele I am speaking of ( meaning customers of my client ) are companies such as Grumman, Raytheon, etc. They place many IT contractors with these companies. But they also receive large numbers of engineering job orders such as aerospace engineers, electrical, structural, all related to DOD contractors. The problem is none of their recruiters have experience recruiting anything outside of IT. So they need to hire two Engineering recruiters to develop and implement a recruiting strategy to start working all these engineering job orders which currently are not being worked. It’s like letting money slip through their fingers. So they do need to hire two experienced engineering recruiters who know how to start recruiting for engineers from scratch. The obvious upside is whoever is hired gets all the business, and can build their own department within this company eventually leading to a leadership role. Salary and commission will be negotiated on a case by case basis. They are not cheap, and will pay a very attractive compensation to lure the right people into this job. The Engineering Recruiter can live and work from any of their offices be it Tucker, GA - NJ, NY, DC and such a person can work some of the time from home to side step traffic and commute problems. And, if I find someone in a different part of the USA who is truly qualified, they will set that person up to work from home. An example would be a technical recruiter working for a company such as Aerotek where they have specific experience recruiting engineers for aerospace companies.
Senior Account Manager: The VP of Sales who would conduct the interviews has personally grown this company in the past 5 years from six million to 100 million in revenue. He took them from 30 contractors on billing to 1400 contractors on billing. But he is being stretched thin with all the travel. They are hiring Account Managers who live in the same locations as core customers. But he wants to hire a Senior Account Manager who acts as a Manager over all the AEs. So in this case I am searching for someone who might have IT staffing Branch Manager experience, who can work 75% of the time from one office managing the other AEs, and traveling 25% of the time to work with the AEs helping them solidify and grow existing clientele into more business. This company is not going to be cheap with salary. They will take your current compensation and use it as a foundation to negotiate something attractive enough to hire the right person. So they are going about this the right way. Find the right person, then do what it takes to bring the on board. This is a 6 figure job.
I ask that you please help spread the word about these job openings to others you know in the IT staffing business.
