Technical Marketing Manager, Storage/HA R&D
Description:Technical Marketing Engineering Manager that will lead a team that is responsible for developing architecture blueprints and design guides as well as working with Product Management, Product Marketing and Development Engineering on the company's future strategies related to the areas of Data ONTAP, platforms and storage products. The person in this role may also work closely with respective third-party vendor organizations as required to achieve our corporate goals.Essential Functions: - Drive teams to create technical marketing documentation outlining best practices and other technical information detailing the use of NetApp products. - Participate in product and solution release processes through active involvement in marketing requirements and phase review processes. - Work as a thought leader both internally and externally to the organization on matters pertaining specific product and solution areas. - Coordinate training with other technical organizations both within and outside of NetApp on products and solutions.At least 8-10 years of related technical professional experience.Previous technical management experience highly desired.BS/CS or greater required.Qualifications:- Ability to manage a technical team of highly skilled technical marketing engineers that are geographically dispersed. - Proven expertise in the areas of technical collateral and/or technical marketing. - Recent storage industry experience is highly desirable. - Previous experience in computing platforms, storage, highly available systems and/or performance highly desirable. - Candidate must have strong technical and project management skills and must be able to work cross-functionally. - Candidate must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.Salary/Benefits: Salary commensurate with experienceTo learn more about NetApp employee benefits go to: http://www.netapp.com/jobs/benefits.htmlJob Location: Research Triangle Park, NCJob Number: RUSANAP2238-614823Company URL: http://www.netapp.comCompany Profile:NetApp creates innovative storage and data management solutions that help accelerate business breakthroughs and deliver outstanding cost efficiency.
