Position Description:

Technical Marketing EngineerFor expanding resources in support of business pre-sales activities which fall under the ownership of the market development group in Marketing. As a team member in Market Development team, this individual will serve in the Helpdesk function, providing pre-sales support to Brocade sales across the product line with a focus on Security Products. In addition, this individual will contribute to deliverables for ongoing projects and provide additional support as needed to the team.Area of Responsibilities for a Technical Marketing Engineer in Market Development include:- Staffing the helpdesk function, providing pre-sales technical support to Brocade sales- Contribute to the SE Knowledgebase, both as a system and from a content posting perspective- Grow in to serving in other functions in the group such as Trade Show and Executive Briefing Center support, development of content, etcResponsibilities Review and edit marketing materials and documents, including product presentations, training materials, and technical marketing documents. Contribute to the Brocade knowledge base by writing/ developing FAQ’s, Technical Notes, and other required technical documentation. Manage and maintain IT infrastructure and applications used for training, demonstration or support purposes. Assist in generation and fulfillment of various communications and newsletters by audience, and contribute to developing new communication vehicles. Contribute to new media projects such as Pod Casting and Video on Demand with logistics and content support. Provide product support to various audiences, from OEM partner, to End –User customer, to internal Brocade colleagues in PR, Sales and other groups. Engage with various customer and partner audiences in a Marketing, Education, or Pre-Sales role. Support multiple aspects of marketing events, from demonstration logistics, to delivering demonstrations and event staffing. Requirements BS Computer Science; BS Information Systems; BA Business; BS Electrical Engineering or other technical discipline Strong interest and aptitude in technology Interest in learning about the business relevance of Brocade solutions among global consumers and the technical specifics of the products and solutions themselves Proficient in office applications such as Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint Solid foundation of knowledge covering IT systems infrastructure and IT applications, with knowledge of the networking technologies and/or Microsoft Server platforms a strong plus Excellent written and verbal communication skills Persistent and enthusiastic Proactive Team player Experience and expertise with one or more of the following is a plus: · Decru· NeoScale· RSA· nCipher· Safenet· Entrust· Hifn· Broadcom (security chip set support)· Microsoft security (certified or experience in an IT environment)· Linux security (certified or experience in an IT environment)
