Technical Lead - Airline Hosting Technical Lead – Airline Hosting  As a member of our team you will have the opportunity to design APIs, build systems, and mentor a development team responsible for full application ownership of the online reservation system of a major domestic airline.  In this position you will be challenged with building a secure and stable booking engine, advising and guiding new projects, asserting technical direction, and providing subject matter expertise on a variety of topics.  Additionally, you will be responsible for assisting operational improvement initiatives, incident resolution, and technical client support. Duties/Responsibilities: Responsible for overall architecture, design, implementation, launch, and support of a development team engaged in development and site operations. Analyzes the performance of hardware and software interfaces and identifies alternatives for optimizing the usage of computer resources. Develops recommendations based on analysis. Applies generally accepted programming standards and techniques to ensure efficient program logic and data manipulation. Provides day-to-day mentoring to team members. Manages day to day progress of technical deliverables. Participates in designing, coding, testing, debugging, configuring, and documenting operating systems and software. Analyzes and participates in reviews of software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. Develops or provides work estimates based on analysis for requirements. Consults with network hosting partners and internal engineers to evaluate operational performance of overall system. Provides senior level support for production impacting incidents.  Acts as a consultant for subsequent RCA construction. Consults with customer concerning technical direction and operational initiatives. Communicates regularly or as needed to customer and/or management on progress of work products, deliverables and overall project status. Requirements:  5+ years experience in development and additional 2+ years in a visible technical leadership role Solid experience designing and deploying high-volume, high-availability web applications using J2EE (servlets and JSP), Spring, Hibernate, XML, XSD, SOAP, JINI, Oracle, Linux, Linux shell scripting, Apache Tomcat, Weblogic, OOAD, Ajax, Javascript, HTML, Patterns, JUnit. Must have comprehensive experience with J2SE 1.4.  J2SE 1.5 and 1.6 experience preferred. Familiarity with network technologies preferred. Experience in a fast-paced environment. Internet/eCommerce exposure valuable. Strong interpersonal and communications skills, excellent analytical skills, flexibility, ability to plan and organize, responsiveness, creativity. Knowledge and experience in large capacity, high performance computing environments. Demonstrated ability to perform in demanding multi-tasking environments a must.
