Technical Consultant - Microsoft .NET

Position Title: Technical Consultant - Microsoft .NET 



Position Description: Meet and consult with clients to determine scope and effort
Participate in requirements definition and prototype design
Architect, develop, and implement Windows and browser-based applications using the Microsoft.Net developer toolsets, including Visual Studio 2005
Architect, develop, and implement supporting database systems using Microsoft SQL Server 2005
Collaborate with graphic designers and integrate HTML/DHTML/CSS/JavaScript to functional programming
Provide consistent written documentation to clients in the form of project status memos and meeting recaps
Participate as a Weidenhammer team member in supporting others throughout the organization.

Education/Certification: BS in computer science or equivalent experience
Current Microsoft certifications desirable
 
Experience: Minimum of four years designing and developing Windows and browser-based software solutions
Three-tier application architecture
Database architecture with SQL Server 2005 including normalized design, stored procedures, and reporting services
Strong written and oral communication skills as well as good interpersonal and presentation skills
Experience with data warehousing development a plus
Previous consultative assignments experience a plus
 
Application Knowledge: .NET Framework including:
Microsoft Visual Studio 2003 and 2005
.NET Framework 1.1 to 3.0, and its implementation using Visual Basic .NET
SQL Server 2000 and 2005 and management toolset
IIS web server
Microsoft Office
 
Hardware Platform/
OS Knowledge: Microsoft Windows XP, Vista
Microsoft Windows Server 2003
