The Opportunity Thomson Tax & Accounting is looking for experienced Tax Professionals to join our Tax Development team. As a Tax Analyst with Thomson Tax & Accounting you will participate in the design, development and testing of our UltraTax CS product line using in-house development tools. Tax Analysts collect, analyze, and prioritize requirements from taxing authorities, marketing, support, customers, and other sources all in an effort to develop the most reliable tax software in the industry. Located in Dexter, Michigan just a ten minute ride west of Ann Arbor, Thomson Tax & Accounting offers an alternative career path for experienced Tax Professionals. As a Tax Analyst you will put your tax knowledge and experience to work, while enjoying a casual work environment without the pressures of billable hours. As Tax Analyst on our tax development team, you will be involved in... The Development of tax products. Analyzing tax forms and related laws. The Design of input/output screens for tax products. Communication of design and system flow to programmers. Testing of finished products. Assist technical writers in developing documentation. Providing technical support to users. Bachelors degree in Accounting or equivalent experience Two to five years recent income tax experience in public accounting or banking industry and/or one or more years of experience supporting UltraTax products. Experience developing tax software is not required Excellent communication and PC skills CPAs/EAs preferred.
