Role and Responsibilities
You will be a member of our Trading Solutions team, working in a challenging environment with clients that are highly quality conscious. You will be covering 8½ hour shifts (including lunch) during flexible hours to ensure we provide clients with the support they need.
Your role is to:
• Plan, install, roll out, administrate and maintain advanced internet-based exchanges that run on Microsoft Windows platforms
• Ensure that all job requests are carried out in a professional, disciplined, efficient and process-oriented manner
• Deal with and provide second and third line technical support to our clients (who are high profile financial institutional traders, interdealer brokers and Exchanges) and partners
• Provide high-level technical consultancy to our clients, such as product configuration and training
• Contribute actively to Trading Solutions projects and wider company initiatives.
Skills and experience
• Excellent degree in a science or engineering discipline
• Practical experience of using and understanding TCP/IP, SQL and SQL Server. Proficient in Windows 2000/XP/2003
• Experience of supporting software systems/applications, preferably mission-critical, from a software house to external clients (highly desirable)
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, both internally and in client-facing situations
• Ability to manage time, prioritize work, work under pressure and complete multiple tasks effectively
• Sound persuasion and conflict management skills with people of different levels, backgrounds and personality styles
