Systems Support Engineer

NDS Americas is a world leader in digital security systems for television and broadband media to customers around the world including North, South and Central Americas.  Our solutions include conditional access, interactive television and data broadcast systems.  We have an immediate opportunity for a Systems Support Engineer in Costa Mesa, CA.

 

This is an opportunity for a motivated engineer to become a member of the SkyLA support team. We are seeking a customer service oriented individual who will troubleshoot problems associated with hardware/software and advise corrective actions.  The successful candidate will resolve technical faults and issues, support customers’ maintenance teams with technical and operational advice, and participate in the maintenance, integration and upgrades of NDS software on operational equipment.  Solid 5 plus years experience with Unix systems administration, 3 plus years Oracle DB administration, and shell scripting, TCP/IP, Linux is required.  Bilingual Spanish and/or Portuguese a plus.  BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or technical field with excellent written/oral communication skills as well as problem determination/resolution is required.  Domestic/international travel may be required.  No relocation assistance provided.  Local candidates only.
