CourtSmart Systems Specialist, N. Chelmsford, MA

Reports to: Manager, Technical Support

Job Description:

The CourtSmart Systems Specialist (CSS) is an exciting position allowing an individual to think outside the box to resolve issues and become a part of a talented team who cares about getting the right things done well. The CSS is responsible for three areas: 1) Systems Installation, Implementation, and Training 2) Expert support of CourtSmart products (both remotely and onsite), and 3) Special projects as needed. The CSS is an excellent troubleshooter expected to become an expert in CourtSmart’s applications, functions, and associated hardware.

On average the CSS travels 30% to install state of the art servers and equipment, train users, and deploy CourtSmart products. While in house, the CSS handles Tier 2 Support calls, inputting all customer issues and data into CourtSmart’s support system, remotely training users, and ensuring the customers are thoroughly satisfied with the support provided; CourtSmart prides itself on providing excellent support for their customers.

 

Job Duties:

Configuring servers/workstations to operate our digital recording (audio/video) systems including network and database (MSSQL) components.

Complete Quality checks for CourtSmart system installations

Perform site audits for complete upgrades of aging systems

Installation of CourtSmart’s hardware and software at customer location.

Documenting site and support issues into CourtSmart’s help system

Training technical and non-technical end-users in the operation of CourtSmart.

Provide high level support to customers both in house and on site via phone and remote connections.

Communicate / Escalate customer issues to Management and Application Development as needed.

Become involved in testing new software releases including beta and service packs.

Researching technologies and products that benefit CourtSmart and support our business strategies.

Work within the Systems Team discussing and creating new ways of resolving issues and communicating changes and solutions via email, wiki, database tracking, and conversation

Minimum Educational Requirements:

Some college or degree would be preferred. Technical Certifications will also be considered.

Minimum Experience Requirements:

Strong diagnostic troubleshooting skills

Strong networking knowledge including TCP/IP, DNS, FTP, & SMTP; Cisco routers a plus.

Technically proficient Windows 2003 Server, MS SQL and troubleshooting thereof

Technically proficient with Dell and HP Server hardware

Professionalism: Attention to detail, follow-up, and using good judgment is paramount

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.

Some understanding of audio/video signal flow a plus.

Javascript, ASP, Dreamweaver is a distant plus
