Job Description:

As a leading member of the development team, you will be responsible for defining, implementing, and testing CIM/WBEM based systems management technology in colaboration with Olocity customers and partners.  To this end, you will have the opportunity for nuturing new development opportunities and projects for the purpose of growing the company.  This position requires an individual capable of providing detailed technical design, creating original content in industy standards like SMI-S as well as related development, documentation, and integration of new technologies. To be successful you must be a highly motivated self starter with excellent communication skills, enjoy technical challenges, and be able to work on multiple assignments effectively.

 

Required Skills:

MS or BSEE in Computer Science or Engineering.  6+ years of development experience in C++ and/or Java on Windows/UNIX is required. Must have demonstrated skills in object modeling with UML and development of cross platform object oriented applications and libraries in C++ and/or Java.  Ability to develop CIM providers, CIM Clients, and associated client test routines for various CIM Server implementations.

 

Desired Skills

Ability to develop and debug systems using CIM/WBEM architectures and technology.   Knowledge and use of DMTF and SMI-S specifications as well as prior involvement in developing these specifications.  Experience with management systems used for servers, storage, and storage networking systems.   Experience building CIM/WBEM clients and providers as well as experience contributing to the OpenSource used with CIM/WBEM technology. Abilty to develop and debug MOF as developed in the DMTF CIM model.  Knowledge/ prior track record building and shipping new interfaces and supporting SDKs for products.     Knowledge of WSA tools/architectures, SNMP (MIBs), CORBA (IDL), DCOM beneficial.  Experience with storage or storage networking software, SAN's and other storage systems a big plus.  Experience writing/using XML marshalling/unmarshalling systems and specific experience with parsing CIM Operations over http using CIMxml desired. Compiler development skills a plus.
