Systems Analyst - Intermediate Job Summary:UPMC Health Plan is hiring a full time systems analyst - intermediate to help support the day to day operations of the EDW Project team for its downtown location. This position will be working daylight Monday through Friday. The systems analyst - intermediate will be responsible for providing experienced analytical and/or programming capabilities, defining requirements, developing and/or maintaining computer applications/systems, and providing services to meet client IT and business needs. Responsibilities:· Assists with the design and documentation of system functional requirements in formats to facilitate the development of deliverables such as request for proposals and/or information, custom development efforts, and project based planning documents such as scope documents and client services communication.· Works with ISD staff, clients and/or vendors to evaluate, develop, and implement solutions including both packaged system solutions and custom development applications options.· Works with technical services and the integration team to design, test and deploy appropriate hardware solutions, connectivity requirements and interface solutions Basic Qualifications:· Completes on-going training on-the-job, through courses, self-study, certifications and/or advanced degrees to maintain and enhance technical and business capabilities.· Demonstrates thorough understanding of the fundamental tools and concepts of one of the information technology professional disciplines (i.e., applications, business analysis, customer service, data, networking, operations, security, systems engineering, etc.) and applies that understanding to make independent practical contributions to IT work within a particular UPMC department or function.· Highly preferred skills include: strong SQL experience, dimensional data modeling, business analysis including writing functional specifications, and quality assurance skills including test plans and test scripts.· Prior healthcare or health insurance experience is beneficial We offer a variety of benefit options designed to provide personal security, convenience, and assistance to you and your family.
