System Integration and test engineer
Key Responsibilities:DVS System Integration, which is a part of the DVS System Engineering organization, is responsible for the integration and verification of features and functions of Motorola digital CATV Headend equipment. Prepare test plans/procedures from system requirements. Execute testing and configuration of test stations. Analysis of problems to aid development groups in troubleshooting bugs. Create test reports and present results to engineering teams and management. Work with customers on establishing test requirements based on their use cases, and developing tests to troubleshoot customer failures. Good written and oral skills for interface with other engineering groups Knowledge of MPEG2 protocols, IP protocols, and GbE networking. Understanding of data communications, video, and CATV systems a plus. System Engineering experience a plus. Ability to write test plans from customer use cases and system engineering documents. Ability to create system level test scenairos based on knowledge of equipment used in the system. Ability to execute test suites based on written plans and direction from senior engineers. Knowledge of test tools such as IP Network sniffers, MPEG scopes, and spectrum analyzers Good written and oral skills. Report generation.
