System Engineer - Top Secret Clearance Required

Working hours will be from 2 pm to 10:30 pm.
Some local (DC Metro area) travel required.

Must have active Top Secret clearance

You will be part of an award-winning project working on an important mission for a Government client. You will be an integral member of the IT Operations Support and Engineering team, responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting mission-critical systems. You will be required to support quick-turnaround efforts and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Your responsibilities will include:

Install, configure, and administer Oracle Application Server (10g and 11g). Integrate Oracle's OID with Microsoft Active Directory, configure Oracle SSL, and system hardening for Certification and Accreditation testing.

Build, configure, and maintain Solaris 10 and Linux Unix servers and workstations, including: - Install OS on servers and workstations - Set up server hardware (including KVMs, disk/tape drives, and rack mounting) - Install Oracle databases and other applications on servers - Implement automated builds (such as JumpStart) - Configure and maintain data backups - Troubleshoot server problems - Perform system hardening for Certification and Accreditation

Install, configure, and maintain NetApps storage device.

Participate in technical and customer reviews as required. - Create written documentation of server configurations and planned changes (design documentation). - Interact and provide service to service to end users, customer technical staff, and internal technical staff.

Respond to emergency and time-sensitive requests both during and after business hours. - Upon request, be on call 24x7 (on a rotating basis) - Research and recommend equipment purchases
