Support Analyst

The Support Analyst will work with a team of other specialists to address end user issues via e-mail and phone. Working closely with college applicants and their advocates (e.g. teachers, guidance counselors, and parents), the Support Analyst will ensure that questions are addressed in a timely manner. The Support Analyst will also have the opportunity to work on documentation and provide feedback on the Web-based product to help improve the system for future years. Qualities needed to succeed in this role include managing your own time, having excellent writing skills, taking initiative on projects, and learning quickly. Applicants must have or be actively working toward a four-year degree and be extremely comfortable with the Internet. At least two years of previous service experience is required.

 

** This position is for 11 pm – 7 am. Please do not apply if you cannot work this shift.

 

As a Support Analyst, you will be responsible for the following:

§  Assess and respond to incoming technical support requests via e-mail and telephone

§  Follow department guidelines for quality standards and troubleshoot complex technical and quality standard requests

§  Perform various technical tasks for customers, including mapping and troubleshooting of PDF files, Web form building, and data manipulation

§  Assist with the implementation of new customers

§  Assist in the training of new staff

 

This position requires the following capabilities:

§  Strong oral and written communication skills

§  Professionalism and customer service skills

§  Initiative and eagerness to learn new skills

§  Familiarity with the Internet and Microsoft Office products

 

Minimum Qualifications:

§  Bachelor’s degree or actively working toward this degree

§  Two years of service experience

§  Experience with the Internet and Microsoft products
