Sr. Systems Administrator â¤" Communicatio

This position requires hardware and software installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance for workstations, servers, and other network peripheral devices.. Evaluates server hardware and software, provides technical expertise for design, performance and configuration of networks and servers. Performs multiple system server administration and oversight. Support the installation, integration and testing of complex large-scale computer systems. Advise senior personnel on scheduled maintenance, conversions and cutovers. Recommend, implement and monitor server system activities to ensure secure operation all attached systems. Provides status reporting to Technical Services managementBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline. Work experience or industry certifications demonstrating technical proficiency may be substituted for education requirements.Minimum of ten years experience is required, of which six years must be specialized. Expert knowledge of protocol analysis, communication network system design and maintenance. Technical knowledge of bridges, routers, and gateways is required. Specialized experience Cisco Switches, Routers and Security appliances is required Knowledge of PC and Server computer hardware and operating systems is preferred. For consideration applicant should have past hands on experience managing Windows 2000/2003 and Linux server environments.
