We are Smith & Nephew.DescriptionThe Senior Functional Analyst is the primary liaison between business process requirements/opportunities and underlying systems capabilities. This position focuses on the activities of the finance business area. Responsible for optimizing business processes with effective, simple approaches that are consistent with SAP Best Practices. Design, develop, maintain, and support the SAP design and configuration within the SAP HR module by resolving defects, solving end user problems, answering module related questions and testing/validating functionality. Responsible for optimizing process improvement projects from technical and business perspectives. The Senior Functional Analyst will lead small projects using cross team resources as assigned.Required Skills• Must be able to translate business requirements into new business processes, models and system solutions.• Strong knowledge of SAP module integration and downstream impacts.• Excellent problem solving skills, analytical skills and willingness to work in a team and project-oriented environment.• Excellent oral and written communication skills.• Ability to handle and manage multiple projects and resources effectively.• Project management, planning, and organizing skills• Experience in working with and communicating with others using Microsoft Office• Able to work under pressure and work to deadlinesRequired Experience• College Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.• Seven years of experience defining and implementing business process improvements in the finance management area, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.• Four to Five years of SAP configuration and user support experience in SAP HR to include, PA, OM, BN and payroll as it relates to compensation. One to Two full project life cycle implementations and go-lives required. Additional live implementation and/or version upgrade experiences are a plus. • Experience using ASAP and/or Solution Manager as a project tool.
