This position will concentrate on product certification to supplement testing performed by various product development teams. 1. Develop, execute, and maintain software acceptance test and test cases. 2. Evaluate and report test execution results. 3. Assist in collecting and reporting metrics of quality for the product. 4. Develop and maintain test programs and scripts. 5. Collaborate with software engineering department as needed to resolve problems and identify root cause of product defects. 6. Identify, propose, and implement QA/test planning, quality metrics and process improvements.Required ExperienceThis position requires an understanding of software development processes and software quality assurance procedures in a Microsoft development environment and 5+ years of related work experience. Knowledge of software products utilizing various Microsoft Windows operating systems and or Linux and/or Solaris operating systems is strongly preferred. Experience with defect tracking systems, databases, version control system and creating test programs or utilities using languages such as VB.NET, VB 6.0, C++, C#- or Java is required. Experience with test automation tools such as Test Complete, SilkTest or Quick TestPro is a plu. Candidate should have good communication skills. Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science or other engineering discipline required. Relies on experience and judgment to accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks.
