Sr. Project Manager - Web Applications, Agile Project Manager, Growing and Well-Funded Startup!

San Diego based Web Applications Company developing an innovative mobile marketing platform for distributing content and advertising over wireless networks. TriStaff is working closely with them to find a Project Manager to join their stellar team.  Due to tremendous growth and new investment, they are adding a key Senior Project Manager to help implement better process and keep up with their customer demands.

 

As Project Manager, you will help to streamline and improve their existing project management process, and  have overall responsibility for all product deliverables. Responsibilities will include project planning, gathering customer requirements, quality management, scheduling, risk management, and release. This is a highly visible position reporting directly to the CTO. 

 

Additional Responsibilities Include:

 Managing and reporting on ongoing projects, effectively managing risks, efficiently reporting on issues and assisting the team in resolving those issues. Identifying weaknesses in the process, proposing possible solutions, and refining best practices.Continuing to implement and sustain Agile methodologiesInitiating, developing, and managing complex delivery opportunities with both new and established prospects/customersConsistently meeting documented deadlines and objectives, as well as project revenue and expenses to stay within or under approved budget.

QUALIFICATIONS:  

 

RequiredMinimum of 4 years of Technical Project Management experience in a mobile or web applications company.Solid experience delivering products and multifaceted service engagements in a fast-paced environment.Experience with Agile or Lean methodologiesExperience in a product company, not internal IS/IT development projects.Ability to work in a fast paced development environment with short development cycles (3 weeks development, 1 week testing)High energy, result-oriented, self-starter with excellent communication skills.BA/BS degree required



PreferredExperience in the wireless or mobile industrySOA or SaaS software development experience Prior experience in Software Development. Preferably in web development and Java.PMI and other PM certifications strongly preferred
