AREVA T&D has a position for you TODAY!  AREVA T&D Automation is currently recruiting candidates for a Sr. Power System Engineer role, located in Redmond Washington.   AREVA T&D Sr. Power System Engineer will be responsible for advanced power systems engineering assignments involving software development and/or delivery in a designated technical area in support of AREVA projects.  This position is responsible for:   Advanced software development and successful delivery of assigned functions. Acts as technical lead on specification, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of software for one or more functions of a technical area. Consults with other technical leads to ensure that project-related system design guidelines are being followed Proposes schedule and cost estimates.  Reports on development progress and milestone achievement. Interfaces with customers on general and specific issues within area of functional expertise. Provides marketing support for proposals and demonstrations to potential customers. Ensures quality assurance standards and procedures are followed in all aspects of software development. Mentors interns and junior staff. Strong knowledge of Power Systems Operations, Power Systems Analysis (studies or planning). Excellent knowledge of Energy Management Systems. MSEE with thesis or related work in power systems or equivalent work experience. 5 - 7 years of development or project delivery experience in related field. Proven experience in programming skills of object oriented languages (i.e. C++, Java) and/or Fortran Demonstrated capability to lead a team of junior engineers Solid knowledge and experience with the complete SDLC   The following requirements are desired and will be used to differentiate all candidates who apply for this position. PhD with thesis in Power Systems or Computer Science.
