Position: Sr. Network Architect FailSafe (HA / Networking / Unix/Linux)
Location: Milpitas, CA
Role
Our Failsafe team is building a command and control system for PCs that lets mobile internet device owners securely and unobtrusively track the location of their monitored PC. In the event that a computer is lost or stolen, a wide variety of methods are available to assist in locating the device and identifying the assailant. Location tracking and identity information is stored in a secure monitoring center that is accessible from any browser.
As part of our Failsafe Server Development Team, you will :
· Architect and coordinate implementation security solution for next generation Phoenix products.
· Research new technologies and make recommendations; make recommendations on datacenter design.
· Develop Proof-of-concepts, and lead the team through development phase.
· Represent Phoenix in appropriate shows/forums.
Required Skills:
· 5+ years of architecting, designing and developing high performance, fault tolerance, distributed and clustered architectures.
· Record of successful architectural design and individual technical accomplishments, spanning network and application level software
· Prior senior level contributor/technical leadership roles in the design and development of highly available, 24x7 systems.
· Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL/IpSEC and network caches, in-memory databases, socket programming, in a UNIX/Linux environment
· Develop and maintain security guidelines for network infrastructure, load balancing, and remote systems monitoring and management.
· Strong background in multi-threaded, high performance scalable server applications.
· Experience with database design and optimization
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to execute to schedule in a timely manner and with high quality results
· Outstanding analytical and problem solving skills
· Excellent judgment and decision-making.
