The Senior Manager/Director Marketing - Supplier Solutions will lead the global marketing efforts for Ariba’s supplier solutions. The primary focus of this role is to drive the strategic marketing and planning efforts for the supplier solutions area, as well as lead a team of marketing professionals to implement on marketing plans. This role is instrumental in evangelizing the value and benefits of Ariba’s supplier solutions both to Ariba customers and internally within Ariba. Key initiatives this role includes market planning, market research, product packaging and pricing, branding and messaging.

The Senior Manager/Director Marketing - Supplier Solutions will join a highly dynamic team and work closely with the Director of Supplier Solutions to determine marketing strategies, set priorities and execute on marketing plans. The Product Marketing Manager will also interface with a number of functional departments including Solutions Management, Corporate Marketing, Supplier Sales and Customer Support.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Lead/coach the Supplier Marketing team
•Drive the priorities for the supplier marketing function
•Lead planning for supplier marketing function, including marketing plans, budgets, pricing and packaging, and performance reviews.
•Drive key strategic marketing initiatives, that often will require managing virtual/cross-functional teams, and can include market research, market planning, positioning/messaging, branding and other broad marketing initiatives.
•Evangelize the benefits of Ariba’s supplier solutions to both customers, prospects and to internal audiences.
•Drive and support marketing execution activities, including collateral development, sales support and customer events.
•Manage industry analyst updates, and drive awareness within key influencer community
•All other duties as assigned.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
•Demonstrated track record in marketing execution and product success
•Excellent verbal, written, visual communication skills.
•Ability to run good meetings.
•Good organizational skills and ability to manage stakeholders
•Experience working with cross-functional and virtual teams
•Demonstrated ability to be organized and logical thinking
•Experience in international environments and other cultures
•Ability to be flexible in a highly dynamic business
•Experience with software and/or services marketing and marketing to range of company types, particularly small/medium sized businesses a plus.
•MBA or equivalent degree a plus


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
•5+ years of marketing, product management or strategy experience
•Experience managing marketing teams including hiring, managing performance and developing skill set of direct reports
•Bachelor's Degree required
