Senior HR Consultant

This role is responsible for partnering with Sales and Marketing globally and will influence and positively impact the execution of its key business objectives, in line with Lawson’s vision. This position is the lead resource for and provides consulting to executives, managers and employees on a variety of human resource services designed to optimize sales and marketing performance while aligning HR issues and initiatives with the business strategy in a complex business environment.

The functions within the scope of this role include but are not limited to Employee Relations, Organizational Development, Change Management, Consulting, and Mergers and Acquisitions. Responsible for partnering with sales and marketing management teams globally HR Subject Matter Experts (SME) to assist in optimizing people, strategy, structure, process, communications, consulting and culture to achieve business results.

Responsible for providing client groups with strategic consulting on employee programs, organization development and other HR-specific or business initiatives.

Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the business unit(s) assigned to better add value, ideas & input, and also challenge business decisions as appropriate.

Proactively gather data from all levels within the organization. Provide pulse updates for assigned business unit(s) to appropriate manager and/or HR leadership and as appropriate business unit(s) management chain to assist with taking appropriate action.

Partner with managers and HR SMEs in the design and implementation of organizational design strategies and solutions.

Partner with recruiters to provide consulting on re-hires, internal transfers and executive recruitment process.

Consult with management regarding job descriptions, career pathing, succession planning, organizational structure, and talent management.Identifies and solves unique issues in a complex business environment.

Manage organizational change initiatives/projects for assigned business unit(s). Includes, but is not limited to; strategy changes, mergers and acquisitions, office closings, position eliminations, workforce reductions, etc.

Serve as change agent/role model and provide consulting for rest of organization on how to effectively manage change.

Consult with employees and all levels of management regarding employee relations, compensation, benefit, development issues/questions (i.e.: company policies, benefits, performance issues, individual or inter/intra group conflicts, etc...) in accordance with Lawson business practices and local legal framework and regulations.

Assist management and employees in understanding, applying and complying with Lawson policies and procedures.

Provide feedback to HR management regarding potential policy issues, modifications and/or concerns with Lawson policies and procedures.

Influences senior leadership to adopt new ideas, products, and/or approaches.

Support and consult with all levels of management regarding the company’s performance management process and tools. Provide guidance and coaching to management regarding performance management issues, including determination and review of action(s) to improve performance.

Support existing training programs and also identify training and development needs within area of responsibility and consult with management on implementing training strategies.



Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in HR, IR, Business or related field; or equivalent work experience.

8+ years HR Generalist experience, with 3 years of experience handling complex employee relations issues (including harassment/discrimination investigations, accommodations).

Project mgmt experience for mid to complex difficulty projects.

2 years experience in delivering formal and informal training to employees and managers, utilizing existing training materials. Also includes developing training materials for ad-hoc, small scale, training sessions.

Understanding of business unit functions, operations and strategic objectives and goals from an HR and business organization perspective.

Comprehensive understanding of current employment laws and standards.

Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills

Viewed as expert in company; sought out by other HR professionals and/or first level managers for input.

Strategic thinker with the ability to view issues from multiple viewpoints and makes recommendations based on Lawson’s strategy and values.

Successful track record of consulting on change management.

Ability to resolve issues to a positive outcome.

Proven ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth, rapidly-changing environment.

Ability to, at all levels, influence and/or change the thinking of, or gain acceptance from others in sensitive situations without damage to the relationship.

Demonstrated success in partnering across all areas of Human Resources.

Ability to make difficult decisions, take appropriate level of risks and be persistent to ensure correct actions are taken and followed through on.

Preferred Qualifications:

PHR and/or SPHR certified.

3+ years experience supporting Sales and Marketing in a complex business environment.

Experience with employee relations database and/or HRIS

High tech or professional services industry experience.

Mergers and Acquisition experience

International experience
