GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Performs a variety of analysis and related assignments for the forecasting and projections of Thomson CompuMark. To ensure investments in the business are align with the strategic goals and visions of the business. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly responsible for ensuring Thomson CompuMark monthly, quarterly projections and forecasts are complete and concise for presentation to Senior Management. This would include the monthly Early Look, the Quarterly reviews, and the 18 month rolling forecast. Suggests new and alternative methods of presentation of non-financial metrics to measure future revenue growth. Directly responsible for the preparation, development and maintenance of financial analyses for internal and external requests including but not limited to monthly revenue/business analysis, capital expenditure variance analysis with accompanying related commentary. Suggests new and alternative methods of financial analysis presentation. Assists the monthly consolidation process of Thomson CompuMark. Including thorough understanding of inter-company eliminations between the entities, as well as currency translation issues. Is a resource for other Thomson CompuMark finance members to turn to with questions about entering data into the Thomson Financial systems, specifically Cognos planning tool. Directly responsible for assisting the Project Management Group in getting Cost Benefit Analysis completed on all projects that get presented to the Executive Committee for approval. Ensuring Project Managers understand the financial metric thresholds that need to be met before Projects Perform other duties as needed REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: 4 or more years direct experience in General accounting/analysis experience including in depth knowledge of income statements, balance sheet and cash flow analysis and automated accounting systems. Basic understanding on Inter-company eliminations and currency translations. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Advanced PC Computer skills a plus. Knowledge of Cognos and or SAP a plus. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA a plus.
