Senior Financial Analyst

 

Position Summary

 

CDC Software is seeking a Financial Analyst to perform complex financial analysis on operating results, business plans and cash flow.  The position will have high exposure to senior management throughout the organization.  Additional responsibilities will include modeling for mergers and acquisitions, supporting treasury activities and performing ad-hoc analysis for senior management.



 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities



 

Budgeting & ForecastingCoordinate budgeting process for multi-national company with over 15 different operating units.Assist in the development of the fiscal year operating and capital budgets.Analyze budgets and supporting schedules to validate completeness, accuracy, and reasonableness.Prepare high-level quarterly forecast for senior management.



 

Financial Reporting

· Assist in the preparation of the quarterly earnings release for a publicly listed NASDAQ company.

· Analyze the monthly financial performance of CDC Corporation and its operating units by analyzing variances relative to budget and prior periods.

· Assist in the preparation of the monthly business reviews for senior management.  This reporting must be accurate, timely, and professional in appearance.



 

Financial Analysis

· Utilize data obtained from the various information systems to develop meaningful, value-added analyses, which are accurate, timely, and professional in appearance.

· Collect and analyze data to support financial and operational improvement projects as assigned.

· Maintain confidentiality of employee records, financial reports, and other information that is deemed confidential or competitive.



 

Other

· Support treasury activities, which include investing in securities and managing cash balances.

· Assist with financial modeling for potential mergers and acquisitions.

· Act independently to accomplish work steps and communicate progress and/or issues to management as appropriate.

· Special projects and analyses as assigned.



 

QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field strongly preferred, or equivalent experience. MBA preferred. CPA, desired 5-7 years experience in financial analysis, financial planning or accounting. Extensive knowledge of Excel and ability to create and analyze complex financial models, including forward forecasting models.  Excel macro and VBA programming skills are preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment backed with the enthusiasm to meet and/or exceed deadlines and expectations. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels of the company, from entry level employees to executive management. Strong initiative and ability to coordinate and manage multiple projects. Strong follow-through on all projects and proven ability to bring projects to timely completion. Results oriented and willingness to accept accountability for performance.
