Job Description

As a senior embedded firmware/design engineer, the qualified candidate will be part of a team responsible for developing embedded software and preferably hardware for multiple Location Based Services devices and systems. The candidate will be involved in all phases of the product life cycle, from conception thru field support.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

· BS from an accredited university in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field with solid academic record; MS preferred

· Demonstrated experience with the full product life cycle, from conception to field support

· Minimum 5 years of experience in embedded and mobile application development.

· Embedded application development in C is a must.

· Development of embedded applications in ARM assembly is required

· Experience with embedded application development with ARM 7 C is a must, ARM 7/9 assembly is a big plus.

· Ability to design, code, unit and regression testing of embedded applications starting from given requirements and work independently in small team is required.

· Excellent communication skills


IN ADDITION, PREFERRED CANDIDATES WILL DEMONSTRATE:

· 2+ years of experience designing with GSM/ GPRS and/or CDMA wireless technologies

· 2+ years of experience designing low-power embedded GPS circuits and systems

· A commitment to automated unit and regression testing at the embedded software level

· Experience with the IAR Embedded Workbench IDE for ARM microcontrollers

· Experience troubleshooting embedded software using ARM/JTAG debuggers

· Experience designing custom microstrip and printed circuit antennas

· Experience working with compliance and certification laboratories
