Solutions Engineer

PSG consultants engage independently with clients to analyze client infrastructure, define requirements, map solution features, design and implement solutions, and perform acceptance testing. Each project presents unique challenges and continually exposes the team member to new business issues, technologies and people. We need people who can challenge conventional thinking, offer unique perspectives, and conceive innovative solutions for our clients.

 

Responsibilities: Assist in analysis and documentation of business processes and technology Develop and test new business processes, capabilities and, as appropriate, supporting technologies Perform application design activities (e.g., writing functional designs) Provide technical infrastructure planning and implementation services Provide post-implementation support Provide technical solution scoping and proposal development (pre-sales) Develop strong working relationships with partner, client, and Laserfiche team members

Qualifications: 4-year degree or Masters Degree in computer science, math, economics, or the physical sciences (BA, BS, MA, MS) Knowledge of Windows 2000/2003 client and server operating systems Knowledge of SQL Server/Oracle databases desired Knowledge of Web protocols (e.g., HTTP, ASP, XML, etc.) Knowledge of Visual Basic or object-oriented programming Familiarity with TCP/IP-based networking Hobbyist-level PC hardware experience Applicant must have exceptional problem-solving and people skills Strong writing and interpersonal skills Able to work independently Willingness to travel, at times up to 5 days per week
