Solution Designer/Consultant
Position Description
Analyze and lead business process design and software requirement identification in pre-sales, sales, discovery and implementation efforts for internal and external clients. Consult closely with clients, business partners and internal teams to design and develop solutions that meet functional and technical requirements. Provide recommendations for solution enhancements to support new and emerging business processes. Broad responsibility that includes cross functional department communication and a full understanding of software development methodologies, consulting best practices and common web, integration and application architectures. This role reports to Product Management.
Responsibilities
· Consult on Sales/Account Management and Software Delivery engagements, in both Discovery and Implementation phases
· Offer Subject Matter Expertise related to various areas of healthcare business process, with focus on health insurance and provider office workflows
· Serve as a domain expert for a given feature set of the NaviMedix product / service suite
· Work with internal and client stakeholders and team members to frame business objectives, agree on key requirements and define solutions in line with NaviMedix strategic objectives
· Gather and validate functional and non-functional (e.g. performance) project requirements.
· Translate needs and requirements into user stories, prototypes, concepts and process workflows
· Test concepts and ideas with multiple stakeholders
· Contribute to feature estimation, prioritization and project planning within cross-functional teams
· Advocate for the re-use of existing components where warranted, and identify opportunities for creating new assets
· Contribute to product backlogs of future needs and make recommendations for development roadmaps
· Create and share knowledge on capabilities and solution best-practices at NaviMedix
Education/Experience
· Bachelor’s Degree in a technical/business discipline with 4-6 years experience supporting implementation of business-critical software apps / systems
· Knowledge of the healthcare business and workflows e.g. Member Eligibility and Benefits, Referral and Authorization management, Claims EDI, Formulary/Pharmacy management or Clinical applications
· Experience working with customers in rapid-based customer requirement gathering techniques and methods
· Demonstrable experience gathering and documenting business, functional, and non-functional requirements
· Some technical experience building web-based applications with HTML / XML editors.
· Some programming/systems experience, including SQL-based query construction and database schema proficiency. Microsoft SQL Server experience preferred.

· Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
· Ability to multi-task and stretch across a variety of projects and teams
· Comfort working with colleagues and clients at various levels from implementation teams to executive level
