ITT-AES has an opening for a Software Systems Developer to work in our Crane, IN office.As part of a software development Team, the successful candidate will consult on, design, program and implement solutions for information management, work flow and knowledge management systems. This includes maintaining and supporting existing application systems and programs, as well as integrating and customizing third-party software within our existing application environment. Implementing and supporting various portal technologies. Analyzing user requirements, procedures and issues and identifying ways to improve existing systems and/or processes. You will work under the direction of a project manager and technology lead within a multi-member project team, working under specific deadlines, functioning independently or as part of the team to complete quality work on-time and within professional expectations. Ideal candidate must be customer focused and possess strong interpersonal skills, as well as, posses the ability to work flexible hours. Additionally, this individual must be able to work on multiple projects concurrently, maintain skills consistent with current programming and database technology. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Business (or the equivalent work experience); Minimum of 3 years experience designing and programming business solutions; Design, develop, test, implement and maintain in-house developed and third party client/server systems; Interact frequently with end users to understand requirements and to gather feedback during the design, development and testing stages; this individual will also provide on-going support as required; Extensive programming experience utilizing: .NET, ASP.NET, SQL, VB, HTML, Java Script DHTML, or PHP. Multiple disciplines a plus; Creating and maintaining documentation for all aspects of software development and implementation; Experience in integrating enterprise applications is beneficial; Experience with XML, Web services, MS Share-point, IIS 5.0 and 6.0 is beneficial; Experience with CMMI a plus; Excellent written and verbal communication skills a must; Must have portfolio demonstrating previous experience.Successful candidates must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information which requires US Citizenship.ITT is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action Employer.
