Software Quality Assurance Engineer (Client/Server)

Our continued success has created this immediate opening for a Software Quality Assurance Engineer (Client/Server Product).
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate within a cross-discipline project team setting of software developers, release engineers, technical writers, product managers and QA engineers to create and execute quality testing plans.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:4+ years of overall software quality assurance and/or software engineering experience, with exposure to the full product development cycle – from requirements through post-release. Comfortable planning, documenting and executing highly effective test strategies in “time-to-market” driven software release environments. Applies principles of risk management in developing and targeting comprehensive test plans to aggressive delivery schedules. Strong understanding of Windows operating systems: Windows Vista, 2003, XP and 2000. MUST have experience installing, configuring and networking current Windows operating systems on PCs from the ground up. Understands Windows and PC networking concepts. Significant experience testing Windows-based client/server applications. Good understanding of Windows Active Directory, TCP/IP and DNS. Adept at network testing and troubleshooting. Significant experience testing one of the following server-based email solutions: Microsoft Exchange or Lotus Notes. Experience testing within one of the following database environments: Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle. Functional test automation and/or load testing experience are highly desired. Good communication and documentation skills. Comfortable mentoring and training others. Additional pluses include fax server and/or Novell NetWare testing experience. B.S. degree in Computer Science, or equivalent technical discipline.
