Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Software Quality Assurance Engineer  MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB: We are a ISO9001:2000 certified company and the Quality Department is responsible for all quality activities within the business. The Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer is responsible for performing the software quality functions needed to support the software quality policies. The SQA Engineer is responsible for:· SQA activities as required by the Quality Manager· Supporting the Quality Department in all SQA matters· Supporting software projects in SQA matters· Software Configuration Management functions in support of software projects  KEY TASKS: Performing SQA activities as directed by the Quality Manager, e.g.· Advising software projects with respect to our Quality Requirements· Preparing and writing software quality plans in line with IEEE standards· Conducting software audits in line with the requirements of ISO9001:2000, TickIT and CMM· Preparing and writing audit reports and review reports· Performing Software Configuration Management functions to ensure that software is properly controlled· Liaising with the Customer’s SQA representatives as necessary  KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:1. Compliance with all departmental and company policies and procedures2. Completion of audits to agreed timescales3. Completion of reports to agreed timescales4. Timely response to queries raised by the Quality Manager5.
