Software Program Manager Description: Our client is seeking an experienced Software Program Manager with a passion for the integrated technologies that deliver Voice, Internet, and Messaging to mobile devices. As a part of our clients Program Management Office, you will be responsible for leading large and complex core device development projects that will span all of companies departments, customers, and partners.You'll need 5+ years experience in wireless phone product development as a program manager and come with proven experience in leading complex projects from gathering and distilling customer research and requirements, spec generation, implementation, and deployment. You will be responsible for leading a cross-functional team from product planning, design, software engineering, software quality assurance, deployment, operations and customer support. Your strong leadership, communications, and team-building skills are essential to the success of the team, and ultimately the end product. You should be driven by results, and not be afraid to jump in and pick up the slack to ensure that a project stays on track. Come armed with excellent documentation, analytical and communications skills; and a demonstrated problem solving ability. You should be undeterred by initial roadblocks, and proactively seeks alternative means for achieving goals and objectives. Requirements: Our Software Program Manager will be responsible for managing application and device development projects which will power the next generation of products powered by the client's software and service. The role will require coordinating all aspects of the product development process from concept, product definition, planning, product specification, through execution and successful launch. The ideal candidate will have experience in driving and shipping complex embedded systems which would include experience in Java applications development and ideally systems with a client/server architecture.
